⚠️ Important: Deleting inspections or work orders from the Inspect Point mobile app permanently removes them from your device. Information that has not been saved or submitted will be permanently deleted. Once deleted, they cannot be recovered.
📱 Delete an Inspection or Work Order from the Home or Schedule Screens
- Open the Schedule or Home screen
- Select the ellipsis (⋯) menu
- Tap Delete Inspection
- A confirmation message will appear
- Select Delete to confirm
⚠️ Once confirmed, the inspection or work order cannot be restored.
👉 Delete an Inspection or Work Order from the Jobs Screen
- Navigate to the Jobs screen
- Locate the visit
- Swipe left on the inspection or work order
- Tap Delete
- Confirm deletion when prompted
The same permanent deletion warning will appear.
🧹 Mass Removal of Older Inspections
Technicians can remove older inspections directly from app settings.
Access Cleanup Settings
- Tap your Technician icon (bottom-right corner)
- Select Settings
Move Old Started Inspections to Completed
- Locate the Old Started Inspections section of the Settings
- Change the number of days if needed (defaults to 30 days)
- The app displays eligible inspections
- Click Move Older Inspections Over 30 Days to Complete
Delete Old Completed Inspections
- Locate the Old Completed Inspections section
- Change the number of days if needed (defaults to 30 days)
- The app displays eligible inspections
- Click Delete Completed Inspections Sent Back Over 30 Days Ago
This removes inspections completed prior to the selected timeframe from your device.
Delete Canceled Inspections
- Under the Old Completed Inspections section
- Select Delete Canceled Inspections
- Confirm by selecting Yes, Delete Visits
⚠️ Final Reminder
- Deleted inspections and work orders are removed from the mobile device
- Information that has not been saved or submitted will be permanently deleted. Once deleted, they cannot be recovered.
- Only delete inspections or work orders when you are certain they are no longer needed on your device.
🔐 Permission Requirement
The ability to delete inspections or work orders depends on your company settings. If you do not see a Delete option, your account does not have permission. Contact your system administrator if deletion is required.
