Your company is responsible for purchasing all required iOS Devices. We do not provide an option to rent or lease devices from us.
Inspect Point can be installed from the App Store on iPads, iPhones, and Mac devices running M1 or M2 processors. In order to meet Apple's guidelines, Inspect Point can only run on devices with modern versions of Apple's iOS Operating System.
We recommend using the newest iOS version as it contains all of Apple's latest bug and security fixes. Each year this requirement may change based on Apple's updated requirements.

⚠️ iOS 16 Compatibility Alert
Effective July 30, 2025, Inspect Point requires iOS 16.0 or later due to security and compatibility requirements.
Devices That CANNOT Upgrade to iOS 16 - The following devices cannot upgrade beyond iOS 15.8.3 and will lose app functionality:
iPads:
- iPad Mini 4 (2015) - All variants
- iPad Air 2 (2014) - All variants
- iPad (5th generation, 2017)
- iPad Pro 9.7" (2016)
iPhones:
- iPhone 6s and 6s Plus (2015)
- iPhone 7 and 7 Plus (2016)
What This Means
- Current app version will continue working on these devices
- CRITICAL: If the app is deleted, it cannot be reinstalled without iOS 16+
- No updates, security patches, or new features will be available
- TestFlight access available for 90 days as emergency backup only

💾 Storage Requirements
Inspect Point is disk-space-intensive due to the number of photos captured during inspections. Requirements may vary for organizations based on how many inspections technicians do and how many photos are taken per inspection.
Storage Recommendations:
- 128GB: Recommended minimum for all users
- 256GB: Heavy usage (many inspections, extensive photo documentation)
- 512GB: Maximum capacity for large-scale operations
Note: 64GB and smaller capacities are no longer recommended due to iOS system requirements and Inspect Point's photo-intensive workflows.

🔒 Security Requirements
Apple has discontinued security updates for devices that cannot run iOS 16. Using unsupported devices creates security vulnerabilities that may:
- Expose customer inspection data to security threats
- Violate enterprise security compliance requirements
- Impact insurance coverage and liability protection
- Fail to meet industry data protection standards
For business continuity and security compliance, immediate device replacement is required.
