📋 Overview
When technicians save a California AES form in the Inspect Point iOS app, the app automatically checks for missing required fields.
If any required fields are left blank, a warning appears, allowing technicians to review and complete the missing information before saving.
⚠️ How the Validation Works
- Tap Save on a California AES form.
- If any required fields are missing, a warning will appear, and the missing fields will be highlighted in red on the form.
- Choose one of the following options:
- Cancel: Return to the form to review and complete the highlighted fields.
- Save Anyway: Save the form with the missing required fields.
If you select Save Anyway, the form will be highlighted in yellow with a warning icon (⚠️) under the inspection's External Forms section, indicating that required fields are missing.
🔍 What Gets Checked?
Validation only checks sections of the form where information has been entered:
- Riser Sections: Required fields are checked only when a riser location has been entered.
- Quarterly Sections: Required fields are checked only when a date has been entered for that quarter.
- Deficiency Sections: Required fields are checked only when a deficiency item has been entered.
📌 Note: Validation works offline, so technicians can identify missing fields even without an internet connection.
