đź“‹ Reviewing Proposals
Once a proposal has been sent, your customer can accept or decline it directly from the email they receive.
From the backend, you can review proposal statuses, apply filters to quickly find what you need, and update statuses when necessary.
🔍 Filtering Proposals
On the Proposals tab, you’ll find several filter options to help narrow your results — for example, by Status, Created By, Date, Building, or Proposal Type.
If you don’t see these filters, toggle Enable Preview in the upper right corner.
💡 When the preview is enabled, your selected filters will stick — meaning you won’t need to reapply them every time you revisit this page. To clear all filters and return to the full list, click Reset.
🔍 Reviewing Proposal Status
To view proposals and their current status:
- Go to the Proposals tab in the backend.
- Use the Status and Date Range filter to narrow down your results — for example, to view all accepted proposals, filter by Accepted.
- Click into the proposal you’d like to review.
- If the proposal is ready to be marked as complete, click Edit, then update the Status field accordingly.
- Save your changes.
⚙️ Updating Proposal Status
From the backend, you can review and edit proposal statuses as needed.
For example, once a proposal has been accepted, you might update its status to reflect the next action, Service Coordinator Review or Completed.
To update a proposal’s status:
- From the Proposals tab, locate and open the proposal.
- Click the ellipses (...) on the right of the proposal and select Edit.
- In the Status field, select the appropriate status.
- The dropdown will display the available proposal statuses.
- Inspect Point does not come pre-loaded with a Complete status.
- How to Create a Proposal Status
- Create your own user-added statuses to fit your workflow (e.g., Accepted by Phone).
Save your changes.
⚠️ Note: The option to edit accepted proposals must be enabled in your Proposal Settings. If this is turned off, you won’t be able to change the status once a proposal has been accepted — How to Configure Default Proposal Settings.
⚙️ Important Notes
- The available options in the Status field will reflect both the default statuses and any custom statuses your team has created.
- If a Completed status does not appear, it likely hasn’t been added yet under your Proposal Settings.
- The Edit Accepted Proposals setting must be enabled to make changes to proposals that have already been accepted.
- If this setting is disabled, you will not be able to update the status or make edits.
