What are Proposal Details
Within the backend Settings, you'll find options for Exclusions, Scope of Work, Summaries, and Terms & Conditions. These sections allow you to create reusable text blocks — or "details" — that can be selected from a dropdown when building a proposal.
This is especially helpful for standardizing language across your organization. For example, you may have different Terms & Conditions for a new customer's inspection proposal versus a monthly monitoring quote. By setting them up in advance, you can easily insert the appropriate version without rewriting it each time.
When you're creating a proposal, you'll be able to select from the pre-built entries added in the settings. Additionally, you can also add new details while creating a proposal and save them directly to your list for future use.
Detail Type, Purpose & Examples
These fields are optional when creating a proposal. You can add one or more entries from each category (Exclusions, Scope of Work, Summary, and Terms & Conditions) based on the needs of the job.
Detail Type | Purpose | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Exclusions | Define what is not included in the proposal | Labor beyond 4 hours is not included |
| Scope of Work | Outline the services being quoted | Inspect and test the wet sprinkler system in accordance with NFPA 25. |
| Summary | Provide a high-level overview of the job | This quote includes annual testing of sprinkler risers |
| Terms & Conditions | Add legal or payment terms to the proposal | Payment is due within 30 days of completed service |
