Overview
The Proposals feature in Inspect Point helps you quickly build and send clear, professional proposals for any type of work — bid for a new contract, inspections, repairs, or service jobs. Proposals make it easy for your customers to understand the scope and pricing so they know exactly what they’re approving.
Who Uses Proposals
Proposals can be created by backend users (admins, estimators, service managers, sales reps, etc.) and technicians in the field on our Gold and Platinum subscription tiers.
Note: The ability for technicians to create proposals in the field is based on your instance configurations. Technicians can create draft proposals to be reviewed in the backend, or send them directly to the customer. Please contact your Customer Success Manager for details.

What You Can Do with Proposals
With Inspect Point Proposals, you can:
- Create & Save Templates — Build templates for common jobs to save time and maintain consistency
- Add Materials & Services —Add materials and services from your Price Book to proposals so you don’t have to manually price every line item.
- Set Default Options — Standardize your process by setting global defaults.
- Link Deficiencies — Attach deficiencies to a proposal and review notes and photos without leaving the proposal screen.
- Send Automatic Reminders — Set up automatic reminders to increase your acceptance rates.
- Run Proposal Reports — Use the proposal dashboard and insights to track year-to-date sent vs. accepted proposals, average approval times, status by user, and more.
FAQs
Can technicians create proposals?
Yes — if your instance is configured with the appropriate settings, your techs can build proposals on the mobile app. Contact your Customer Success Manager for more information.
How does a proposal become a work order?
Once approved, you can convert a proposal to a service work order with just a few clicks.
Where do I find old proposals?
From the Account or Building, the Proposals tab at the customer-level. In addition, you can filter or search for a specific proposal from the corresponding tab on the navigation bar.
Can I delete a proposal?
Yes, proposals can be deleted. The only time a proposal cannot be deleted is if it is linked to a work order.
