Technicians can add inspection assets directly from the mobile app during an inspection. You can either add new items or select existing items already associated with the building.
➕ Adding Inspection Items
- From the inspection screen, tap the blue ➕ icon in the bottom right corner.
- A menu will appear with two options:
- Add Existing Item – Select from assets already set up on the building but not yet included in the inspection.
- Add New Item – Create a new asset to include in the inspection.
🆕 Add a New Item
- Tap Add New Item.
- A menu will appear displaying a list of available items.
- The options displayed depend on your organization’s configurations.
- Select the desired category (e.g., System, Asset, Fire Alarm System, Group, etc.).
- In the Name field, enter a name for the asset.
- This field is required for all item types.
- Select the Type from the dropdown list.
- Example: To add a Wet Sprinkler System → tap + New Item → choose System → name it → select Wet System → tap Save.
- (Optional) If your organization uses barcodes, tap Scan to scan the barcode using your device’s camera or Bluetooth scanner.
- Tap Save in the upper-right corner of the pop-up.
You’ll be redirected back to the Inspection screen, where your new asset will now appear.
🔁 Repeat these steps to add additional inspection items as needed.
🏗️ Add an Existing Item
- Tap the blue ➕ icon.
- Select Add Existing Item.
- A list of assets already set up on the building will appear.
- Select one or more items to include in the inspection.
- Items that are grayed out with a checkmark are already on the inspection and cannot be deselected.
- Tap Save to add the selected item(s).
✅ Results
- Once saved, your selected or newly added assets will appear on the Inspection screen.
- The questions associated with each item are automatically determined by the asset type and inspection frequency.
- Any assets added to the inspection in the field, will be added to the building as well as the remainder of inspections in an inspection series (if applicable).
