TCE Consolidated System Type Submissions — Overview

When you e-file an inspection report to an Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) through Inspect Point, same-type systems on a site now consolidate into a single submission — and each filing carries only the deficiencies that belong to it.

This means you can:

• File one sprinkler report for a site with 15 sprinkler risers — not 15 separate submissions.
• Keep deficiencies scoped to the right system type — a sprinkler report never contains alarm or pump deficiencies.
• Preview exactly what will be filed before anything is transmitted to the AHJ.
• Let Inspect Point group systems automatically — no manual sorting required before you submit.
• See a plain-language summary in the submission wizard confirming the filing count and system count for each report type.

🔍 How It Works

When you e-file through Inspect Point's compliance integration, the submission wizard groups systems by type before anything goes to the AHJ. All wet-pipe sprinkler risers on a site consolidate into one sprinkler report; all alarm systems consolidate into one alarm report; pump systems consolidate into one pump report.

Each consolidated report is a single, clean PDF for that system type. Deficiencies are scoped automatically: only sprinkler-system deficiencies appear in the sprinkler report, only alarm deficiencies appear in the alarm report, and so on. General deficiencies that apply across all systems appear once per report — they're not duplicated across every submission.

Before you confirm and send, the submission wizard shows a plain-language preview of what will be filed: the number of filings, the system type, and how many physical systems are covered. For example: "This will create 1 sprinkler submission covering 15 systems." Nothing is transmitted to the AHJ until you confirm.

Existing filing behavior is preserved — if you file all systems together, that option still works. Single-system inspections aren't affected.

🏢 Who This Affects

This applies to accounts e-filing inspection reports to AHJs through the TCE compliance integration, on sites with multiple systems of the same type — for example, a distribution center with 15 sprinkler risers, a campus with multiple alarm panels, or any large commercial site where a single inspection covers many physical systems.

🚀 Getting Started

If your account is active on the TCE compliance integration and you manage sites with multiple systems of the same type, you'll see the consolidated filing behavior the next time you go through the submission wizard for one of those sites.

To get oriented:

1. Open a multi-system site and begin the AHJ e-filing workflow as you normally would.
2. Review the submission preview — the wizard shows the filing count and system breakdown before you confirm.
3. Confirm and submit — Inspect Point handles the grouping and deficiency scoping automatically.

💡 Good to Know

• This feature is in pilot and not yet broadly available. Don't assume availability for your account — confirm with your Inspect Point representative before relying on this workflow for a compliance deadline.
• Deficiency scoping is automatic; there's no manual step to assign deficiencies to a system type before filing. If you notice a deficiency in an unexpected report, contact Inspect Point support.
• AHJ requirements vary by jurisdiction. The consolidated, type-scoped filing format is designed to match what most AHJs require, but Inspect Point can't guarantee acceptance by every AHJ in every jurisdiction. Always verify filing requirements with your AHJ directly.
