Inspection series help you manage recurring inspections efficiently. If changes need to be made to an existing series, Inspect Point gives you multiple ways to locate and update it—whether you're adjusting the full schedule or just a single inspection.
📍 How to Find an Inspection Series
You can access an inspection series from several places in Inspect Point:
From the Building
- Navigate to the Building
- Open the Inspection Series tab
- Select the inspection series you want to update
From the Navigation Menu
- Go to the Inspections tab
- Click the ellipsis (⋯) on an inspection
- Select Inspection Series
- Locate the series and click the Series ID
From an Individual Inspection
- Open any inspection in the series
- On the Inspection Details page, locate the Related section at the top
- Click the linked Inspection Series
Once you're on the inspection series page, you can extend, cancel, or move the series.
🔄 Moving an Inspection Series
If you need to shift the schedule forward or backward, you can move the entire inspection series at once.
How it works:
- Open the Inspection Series
- Select Move Series
- Choose whether you want to move the series forward or backward
- Enter the number of months to shift the schedule
- Confirm the change
Example: If an annual inspection is scheduled for February 1 and you move the series forward by 2 months, future inspections will now be scheduled for April 1 instead. The entire series is shifted based on the criteria you select.
🧩 Editing an Inspection Series

To do so:
- Head to an inspection within a series and from the Inspection Details page, select Edit
- Make your updates, such as:
- Adding or removing inspection items
