Inspect Point offers vehicle suppression inspections as part of NFPA 122. This article explains how to create a vehicle suppression inspection, complete it in the field, view answers in the backend, and access the report.
Creating the Inspection
Vehicle suppression exists as a special hazard in Inspect Point. Before creating a new inspection, a vehicle must be added to the building. To do so, click Edit Building, and scroll to the Special Hazard section.
Next, click New Special Hazard, select Vehicle Suppression from the dropdown, and give it a name.
Once added, slick Save at the bottom of the screen to save this special hazard.
To edit the new vehicle and its sub-objects, navigate to the Special Hazards tab on the building. Here, the vehicle will be displayed.
Clicking “Create Vehicle Suppression Hazard Info” lets you add details related to the vehicle.
Control panels, cylinders, alarm devices, and cartridges all exist on the vehicle and can also be edited.
With the vehicle created, we can now schedule an inspection.
On the iPad, tap the desired inspection to begin the vehicle suppression inspection. Add any alarm devices, cylinders, and/or cartridges, and submit back to the office when completed.
Report View
With the inspection completed, we can now view the report in the backend.
System info will print at the top, followed by cylinders, cartridges, alarm devices, and control panel readings.
