Inspect Point offers an external form to help you complete Design Build Criteria tests for hydrants.
This form is not available in your instance by default. Please contact your CSM and they will enable it for you.
Once enabled, the form can be added to inspections. To do so, create a new inspection, navigate to External Forms, and search for “Water Flow Test Report.” Select this option, give it a name, and now this form will appear in the field for this inspection.
Completing the Form
The Water Flow Test Report begins with the Testing Information section. This section contains information like test location, water suppliers, and witnesses to the test.
The Flow Test Results section is where information from the test itself is recorded. This section contains the Static Hydrant and room for two Flow Hydrants.
To calculate the Flow (GPM) for each Flow Hydrant, ensure the size opening, coefficient, and pitot reading are filled out, and tap the “Calculate” button at the top of the screen. This will automatically fill the Flow (GPM) field for each Flow Hydrant tested.
Continue filling out the rest of the form, and submit it to the office to generate the report.
Viewing the Report
On the PDF report, a Water Flow curve is generated based on the data entered in the form.
Each Flow Hydrant is displayed, along with the GPM at the residual pressure.
