The Custom Inspection feature allows you to create inspections inside of your instance to capture information or data that is not pre-loaded into Inspect Point.
How are custom inspections created?
From the dropdown menu in the upper-right of any page within your backend, select Settings then Custom Inspections under the Inspections section
You will be directed to the Custom Inspections Listing Screen
Select the + New Custom Inspection option
Give the inspection a name, check the Available in field box, and Save
>>> You will be redirected back to the Custom Inspections Listing page
Adding Sections to a Custom Inspection
Next step is to add Sections for the inspection questions to be grouped into (ie Maintenance, Testing, etc.) - Please note that at least one section needs to be added otherwise the questions will not print on the report
To do so, choose Sections on the corresponding Custom Inspection
Hit + New Section, where you will give the name and sort order > Save
Sort order will indicate the order in which the sections, along with any questions within the section, print on the report starting with 0, 1, 2 ...
Add as many sections as needed - You can go back to add additional ones later on if you find you need more
Note: Custom Inspections cannot be deleted. However, they can be renamed with "DO NOT USE" to avoid future use.
Adding Questions to a Custom Inspection
To add questions to a custom inspection, select the Edit Questions option on the corresponding Custom Inspection
Add the question text, answer type and section
Repeat until you've added all necessary questions - Save
Where are custom inspections located?
Custom inspections can be found on the Custom Inspection Listed Screen, which is located in the upper-right dropdown menu that appears on any page within your backend.
This screen is where you begin when you are looking to build a new custom inspection. This is also where you view and/or edit already created custom inspections inside of your instance.
