📌 Overview
When a one-time inspection is created, it defaults to the Scheduled status. If your workflow requires one-time inspections to begin in a different status, you can change the default from the Inspection Status settings.
For example, you may want newly created one-time inspections to begin in Pending until they are ready to be scheduled and assigned to a technician. Once a default is set, all new one-time inspections will automatically be created in the selected status.
⚙️ How to Set the Default
- Navigate to Settings → Inspections → Inspection Statuses.
- Locate the status and select the Edit icon under Actions.
- Toggle Default for one-time inspections.
- Select Update to save your changes.
Once enabled, all newly created one-time inspections will automatically be created in that status. For example, if Pending is set as the default, new one-time inspections will begin in Pending instead of Scheduled.
💡 Things to Know
- Only one status can be set as the default for one-time inspections. Selecting a new default will replace the status currently set as the default.
- A status marked as a Final Status cannot be selected as the default for one-time inspections. Final statuses are used to finalize an inspection and are not intended as a starting status for newly created inspections. [Learn more about Final Statuses.]
