🔥 Overview
Kitchen Hood systems in Inspect Point now include a Detection Type field, allowing you to record how a kitchen hood suppression system is activated.
This field helps distinguish between mechanical, electric, and pneumatic detection systems and ensures that the detection type is documented on inspection reports.
🔧 Detection Type Options
The Detection Type dropdown includes three options:
- Mechanical
- Electric
- Pneumatic
This field is optional and can be left blank.
📍 Where to Set the Detection Type
You can select or update the Detection Type in the following locations:
Backend → Building Detail Screen → Suppression tab
Locate the Kitchen Hood and select + Add Info under the Actions column. Locate the Detection Type dropdown, make your selection, and Save.
iOS App → Inspection → Kitchen Hood
Tap Hood Info, locate the Detection Type dropdown, make your selection, and Save.
📄 Detection Type on Inspection Reports
Once a Detection Type has been selected, it will automatically appear in the Kitchen Hood section of the generated inspection report.
📌 Additional Information
- Existing Kitchen Hoods: The Detection Type field will initially be blank for existing Kitchen Hood systems. You can update this field at any time from the backend or iOS app.
- Inspection Questions: Selecting a Detection Type does not change the inspection questions associated with the Kitchen Hood system.
