Adding Sprinkler Heads to a Building

💧 Adding Sprinkler Heads in the Backend

Applies to: Building Detail Screen → Systems & Assets

Sprinkler heads can be added to an existing sprinkler system from the Systems & Assets tab of the Building Detail Screen. When adding sprinkler heads, you can enter details such as the NFPA type, manufacturer, sprinkler ID number, manufacturing year, orifice size, temperature, quantity, and percent substandard.

💡 Before You Start: A sprinkler system must already exist on the building before sprinkler heads can be added. If the applicable system has not been created, edit the building to add the system first.

➕ Add Sprinkler Heads

1. Navigate to the applicable Building Detail Screen.
2. Select the Systems & Assets tab.
3. Under Systems, locate the sprinkler system where you want to add the sprinkler heads.
4. In the Actions column, select + Add > Select Sprinkler Heads.
5. The Sprinkler Heads screen will open with one blank row available. Begin entering the applicable sprinkler head information, including:
   • NFPA Type
   • Manufacturer
   • Sprinkler ID Number
   • Manufacturing Year
   • Size of Orifice
   • Temperature
   • Quantity
   • Percent Substandard
6. To add multiple sprinkler head records at once, select Add 10 Rows at the bottom of the screen. Additional rows will be added to the table for entry.
7. Once all applicable information has been entered, select Save Changes.

🔍 View Sprinkler Heads

After saving, you will be returned to the Building Detail Screen. Select the Systems & Assets tab and the sprinkler head records will appear alongside the system they are associated with. The number in parentheses indicates the number of sprinkler head records currently associated with that system.

Select Sprinkler Heads (#) to view the sprinkler head details.

💡 Note: Sprinkler heads are associated with a specific sprinkler system. If a building has multiple systems, make sure you add the sprinkler heads from the Actions menu for the correct system.
