How to mass add valves in the backend of Inspect Point

From the Building Detail screen, click the Valves tab

Click Edit Mass Valves

Open the attached spreadsheet (Valve Mass Edit Spreadsheet Template). It is located at the bottom of this article. 

Begin entering valve information for the building accordingly

>>> PLEASE NOTE

• System field is NOT required. If the valve is not attached to a System, leave this field blank.
• Description is required
• Barcodes are not required
• Valve Type must match our available types (see list below)
• Secure Type must match our available types (see list below)
• Size must match available sizes (see list below)

Valve Type options (must exactly match format below)

• deluge
• butter_ball
• butter_fly
• n_a
• o_s_y
• post_indicator
• underground
• wall_post
• ball

Secure Type options (must exactly match format below)

• padlock
• monitored 

Size options (must exactly match format below)

• 1
• 1-1/2
• 1-1/4
• 2
• 2-1/2
• 3
• 4
• 6
• 8
• 10
• 12

When your spreadsheet is complete, click Add 10 Rows until you have enough rows equal to, or greater than, the fields on your spreadsheet

>>> Do not worry about the extra fields. They will be removed when saved.

Highlight the rows and information you've added in your spreadsheet

Right click to Copy (Ctrl+C)

Navigate back to Inspect Point

Click into the first box 

Right click to Paste (Ctrl+V)

>>> You will now see your information in the proper columns

Click Save Changes

>>> You will now see a pop-up

Click Back to Building Detail

>>> You will now be directed back to the Building Detail screen

Click the Valves tab

You will now see the Valve information you copied and pasted
