🔧 Simpro Job Setup
The integration is designed so you can keep your current Simpro workflow. Job Stage and Status are not used by the integration. Instead, Job Tags control which Simpro Jobs sync to Inspect Point.
🔄 Synchronizing a Simpro Job to Inspect Point
Populate these on the Simpro Job to create the inspection in Inspect Point:
| Simpro Field | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Job Type | Must be Service (not supported: Project Job, Prepaid Job). |
| Standard Required Fields | Customer, Site, Job Name, Cost Center. |
| Technician(s) |
Must match technicians already configured in Inspect Point. Simpro Employee ID must equal the tech’s External ID in Inspect Point. If not configured, an error appears in the Job Timeline. The first tech in Simpro becomes the Assigned Technician in Inspect Point. |
| Scheduling | Schedule one or more technicians. Each scheduled tech creates a Visit in Inspect Point. |
| Tag | Set Job Tag to Inspect Point Job Pending to trigger sync. 🔗  Info on Job Tags |
⚙️ Configure the Inspection in Inspect Point
Once the Simpro Job has been created and synchronized, a new Pending inspection will appear in Inspect Point. Before the technician can complete it in the field, the inspection needs to be reviewed, configured, and scheduled in the backend.
To Configure:Â
- Locate the inspection and open the Inspection Detail screen
- Edit the inspection and add the inspection itemsÂ
- Update the status from Pending to Scheduled
🔍 Locate the Inspection
You can locate the newly created inspection in several places:
- Building Tab — Go to the Buildings tab, search for the building name, then open the Inspections tab, then click the Inspection ID.
-
Inspections Tab — Access all inspections from the main Inspections tab, then click the Inspection ID.
- Calendar — Use the Calendar view to see scheduled and pending inspections, click the Details option from the modal.
-
Schedule & Dispatch — Find and open the inspection from the dispatch list, click the Details option from the modal.Â
Once you’ve found and opened the inspection, you will be redirected to the Inspection Detail screen.
đź’ˇ Tip: Use filters in the Calendar, Schedule & Dispatch, and Inspections tabs to quickly locate specific inspections or narrow by building, date range, technician, or status.
✏️ Edit the InspectionÂ
From the Inspection Detail screen:
-
Click Edit Inspection.
- In the What's Being Inspected section, select the items that should be inspected for this job.
⚠️ Important:
- These inspection assets come from what already exists at the building.Â
-
If there are no inspection items listed, you can add the items direction in this section by selecting the New Item option available for all the various inspection types you have in your instance.Â
- You can edit the building to add all assets before editing the inspection — 🔗  How to Edit a Building and Add Inspection Items
- Additionally, inspection items can be added in the field by technicians — đź”— How to Add Inspection Items in the FieldÂ
- If technicians are adding the inspection items in the field, you can skip the editing step and go right to scheduling.Â
- Once the items are added, scroll and click Update to save.Â
đź“… Schedule the Inspection
Once the inspection has synced from Simpro and been edited (if required), it’s ready to be scheduled.
The first technician from the Simpro Job is automatically assigned when the inspection is created.
There are several ways to move the inspection from Pending to Scheduled:
🧠From the Inspection Detail Screen
- Open the inspection.
- Click the Status dropdown.
-
Select Scheduled, then click Save.
🗓️ From the Calendar View or Schedule & Dispatch TabÂ
- Navigate to the Calendar.
- Locate and click the inspection to open the quick-edit modal.
- Open the Status dropdown.
-
Select Scheduled, then click Save.
đź“‹ From the Inspections Tab
- Go to the Inspections tab and locate the inspection
- Schedule one of two ways from this screen:Â
-
Click Pending in the Status column, select Scheduled from the dropdown.Â
-
Use the checkboxes on the left side. Click Update, change the Status to Scheduled, and click Save.
đź’ˇ Tip: You can schedule multiple inspections at once by selecting multiple checkboxes before updating.
⚠️ Important: Only change the status when you using the checkboxes. There will be options to select a technician and update the scheduled date. Changing this information will make it so the inspection doesn't reflect the technician and scheduled date from Simpro.Â

- Follow your normal process in the Simpro Mobile App.
- In Simpro, tap Notes and locate the link to the related Inspect Point inspection.
- Tap the link to launch the Inspect Point Mobile App — it will automatically open the corresponding inspection.
