🧠Field MappingÂ
When synchronizing data between Simpro and Inspect Point, key fields are mapped to ensure a smooth exchange of information. Below is an overview of how each major Simpro record type connects to its counterpart in Inspect Point.
🧾 Simpro Customer → Inspect Point Account
Customers in Simpro are matched to Accounts in Inspect Point.
This ensures that all inspection-related jobs are linked back to the correct customer profile within your Inspect Point instance.
🏢 Simpro Site → Inspect Point Building
Buildings in Inspect Point are only created when a Simpro Job is synchronized — we don’t sync every Simpro Site, only those tied to inspection jobs.
When a sync occurs:
If the building already exists in Inspect Point, it’s updated with the latest site information from Simpro.
If it does not exist, a new building record is created automatically.
During this process, the following details from Simpro are used to populate the building record in Inspect Point:
Site ID → stored as the External ID
Site Name → becomes the Building Name
Address → mapped to Street Address
City, State, and Zip Code → mapped directly to the corresponding fields in Inspect Point
This ensures that each inspection is accurately tied to its most current building and location details.
🧰 Simpro Job → Inspect Point Inspection
Each synchronized Simpro Job becomes an Inspection in Inspect Point.
- The Job ID is stored as the External ID for tracking.
- Schedule and Due Dates are synced between systems.
- The Job’s associated Site determines which Building the inspection belongs to.
(Note: The Job Name field in Simpro is not mapped to any field in Inspect Point.)
👷 Simpro Schedule → Inspect Point Visit
When a job includes scheduled times or assigned technicians, those details sync to the Visit level in Inspect Point.
- Technician assignments carry over directly.
- Scheduled date, time, and estimated duration all map to the Visit details.
📎 Inspect Point Report → Simpro Attachments
Once the inspection is complete and a report is generated in Inspect Point, the report can be automatically attached in Simpro.
Where it’s attached depends on your integration settings:
- To the Job, if reports are configured to attach at the job level
- To the Site, if reports are configured to attach at the site level
- To the Quote, if reports are configured to attach to quotes
