Importing Exit Signs & Emergency Lights

Importing Exit Signs and/or Emergency Lights works like extinguishers and alarm devices.

To begin importing, navigate to your desired Exit Sign group in Inspect Point. Next, click Import Exit Signs at the top right of the screen. Here, you'll see the same CSV box import used in other areas of the product. To learn more about importing, follow this link (this article explains the process for all imports in Inspect Point).

Understanding the Exit Sign Template

Listed below is a breakdown of all the fields in the exit sign template, a copy of the report available for download, and a sample report. 

Note: not every field is required for a successful import. Only Location is required, but a more complete import will allow for more detailed inspections and reports. 

ID: The unique ID associated with the exit sign

Location: The location in the building where the exit sign resides

MFG: The exit sign manufacturer

Type: The type of exit sign

Battery Type: The type of battery in the exit sign

Notes: Any notes stored on this exit sign. These will be visible to techs and office users

Internal Notes: Any notes stored on this exit sign. These will be visible only to office users.
