📋 Overview
Work Order Status Colors allow admin users to assign colors to both system and custom work order statuses, making it easier to identify and track work orders throughout Inspect Point.
Once configured, status colors appear across the Inspect Point backend and Technician Portal, helping your team quickly identify work order statuses at a glance.
Why use status colors:
- Tell custom statuses apart instantly instead of reading each label.
- Scan the work order list and pick out the work orders that need attention.
- Match your work order colors to the color scheme your team already uses for inspections.
⚙️ How to Set Work Order Status Colors
Admin users can assign or update colors for any work order status, including default system statuses and custom statuses created by your company.
- Starting from the backend, navigate to Settings → Service → Work Order Statuses.
- Locate the status you want to update and click the pencil icon to edit.
- Click the color field to select the desired color for the status.
- Click Update to apply your changes.
Once saved, the selected color will automatically appear anywhere that work order status is displayed in the web app.
