How to View Visits in Different Timezones

⏰ Viewing Visits in Different Timezones 

Inspect Point allows backend users to view schedules in different timezones directly from the Calendar and Schedule & Dispatch screens. This is especially helpful when coordinating work across regions or reviewing schedules for buildings in another timezone.

By default, both screens display visits using the backend user’s default timezone. Users can temporarily switch the view to another timezone for visibility and planning.

🧭 How Timezone Viewing Works

• Calendar and Schedule & Dispatch use the backend user’s default timezone
• Users can switch the view to another timezone using the timezone dropdown
• Available timezones are based on those added in Company Settings
• Changing the timezone only affects how times are displayed
• The actual scheduled visit does not change

⚠️ Important: When you change the timezone view, the visit time may appear different on the screen — but the visit itself remains scheduled in its original timezone.

📅 View a Different Timezone from the Calendar

1. Go to the Calendar tab
2. Locate the Timezone dropdown in the top-right corner
3. Select a timezone from the list
4. The calendar will update to display visits in that timezone

1. Go to Schedule & Dispatch
2. Locate the Timezone dropdown near the schedule timeline
3. Select a timezone from the list
4. Visit times will update for viewing purposes only

🔁 Important Notes on Timezone View Behavior

• The selected timezone is temporary. If you leave the Calendar or Schedule & Dispatch tab and return the view will reset to your default timezone
• Viewing a different timezone does not:
  • Change the visit’s scheduled time
  • Update the timezone the visit was scheduled in
• Timezone viewing options come from Company Settings

🔧 Scheduling vs Viewing (Key Distinction)

Viewing timezones from either the Calendar or Schedule & Dispatch is for visibility only. 

To change the timezone of an existing visit, click the desired visit and select from the available list of timezones.
