When Timezone Management is enabled for your account, backend users can set a timezone for technician time off. This ensures time off appears correctly on calendars and dispatch views—especially when office staff and technicians are in different timezones.
This is particularly helpful for organizations with technicians working across regions or when time off is entered by an office user in a different timezone than the technician.

🧭 How Time Off Timezones Work
When adding technician time off:
- A Timezone field is available on the Time Off form
- The selected timezone controls how the time off is displayed on calendars
- This helps prevent confusion caused by timezone differences between office users and technicians
Technician Time Off - Default Timezone Behavior
- The timezone defaults to the backend user’s default timezone
- If the backend user does not have a default timezone set, it falls back to the tenant’s default timezone
- The timezone can be changed if the technician is located in a different timezone
🛠️ How to Add Technician Time Off with a Specific Timezone
To add technician time off:
- Go to Backend → Settings → Company Settings
- Select Technician Time Off
- Click Add
- Enter the Time Off details
- Select the appropriate Timezone from the dropdown
- Update this if the technician is in a different timezone than you
- The Time Off timezone dropdown shows the full timezone list, not just the timezones configured in Company Settings. This is intentional, as technician time off may need to be entered for regions outside of the company’s primary operating timezones.
- Click Save
