The Extinguisher Projection Report provides users a place to track their extinguishers. Users can do this in two ways:
- Tracking what extinguishers are active
- Tracking extinguishers due for inspection
This article explains both of these use cases.
The Report's Layout
The Extinguisher Projection Report is located in the Analytic Reports section in the backend.
When you open the report, you'll notice several filters and checkboxes at the top of the screen. The report allows you to filter by Account, Building, and Territory. Additionally, there are checkboxes for Next Service, 3-Year, 5-Year, 6-Year, 12-Year (Hydro), and Loaners.
Selecting a combination of these checkboxes lets you customize your view of the report. For example, if 3 and 5-Year were selected, along with Loaners, then only extinguishers with either a 3-Year or 5-Year service date will appear, along with any loaners.
The date picker on the right side of the screen allows for two options - Due/Overdue, and Scheduled - along with an option to choose the date range.
Furthermore, the data grid is sorted by building, so all extinguishers at a certain building we be grouped together.
By default, the Extinguisher Projection Report opens with all service dates selected, loaners disabled, and the date range set to Due/Overdue in the current month.
We will now dive deeper into the use cases for Due/Overdue and Scheduled.
Due/Overdue
With Due/Overdue selected, all active extinguishers will display for the given date range. This includes extinguishers that are due or overdue for maintenance.
Again, the default date range is the current month. In our example below, extinguishers with a maintenance date at or before 1/31/2024 will display.
Scheduled
Using Due/Overdue is a good way of keeping track of active extinguishers, but by changing Due/Overdue to Scheduled, users can filter results to inspections scheduled for that date range.
The final column in the data grid - Next Inspection Date & Technician Time - will reflect the changes in the date range. For example, when set to This Month and Scheduled, we will only see extinguishers with inspection dates in the month of January 2024.
Viewing the report this way allows technicians to see how many extinguishers to load into their vehicles for the day. To this point, users can set the date range to a single day, to get an even clearer picture of the day's work.
Summary
By clicking the help icon next to the date picker, a helpful summary of these rules and uses cases will appear.
