How to Create and Manage Alarm Device Types

From the backend Settings menu select the Alarm Device Types option under Fire Alarms 

You will now see a full list of alarm device types already available in Inspect Point

Click +New Alarm Device Type 

Enter the fields accordingly and Save 

Type - This is the Alarm Device type that will be added to the dropdown and display on the report

Category - Initiating, Notification, Auxiliary

EP Code (if applicable) - Used for Joint Commission reporting 

Legend Prefix (if applicable) 

You will be redirected to the Alarm Device listing screen, where you will now see the newly added device type on the list

Repeat the process outlined above until all desired alarm device types have been added to your instance of Inspect Point
