🧰 Work Orders Listing Screen Overview
The Work Orders Listing Screen, accessed from the Work Orders tab in the navigation bar, is the primary location for viewing and managing work orders within Inspect Point.
This screen provides a centralized view of all work orders in your Inspect Point instance. From here, users can search, filter, open work order records, update statuses, and publish closed work orders to the Customer Portal.

By bringing all relevant data into one place, your team can:
- Quickly locate a work order by ID, WO #, building, or technician
- Track visit-level progress across scheduled, started, pending, and completed visits
- Publish closed work orders to the Customer Portal so customers can access them directly
- Reduce time spent navigating between buildings
🔍 Filters
The Work Orders Listing screen includes filtering options to help you quickly find exactly what you're looking for.
Note: Not all filters are displayed by default. Click the filter icon to see available options.
Available Filters
- Technician
- Type
- Work Order Status
- Visit Date
- Visit Status
- WO #
- Work Order Tags
- Building
- Building Active
- Reference Number
- Territory
- Subcontractor (if applicable)
Key Behaviors
- Sticky Filters - Your filter selections are specific to you and will remain applied even if you leave the page and return later
- Click Reset to clear all filters and return to the full list
- Click the Filter icon to view and manage available filters
📊 Work Order Table
The table displays all work orders matching your selected filters. You can configure which columns appear.
Configure Columns:
- Click the vertical ellipses (⋮) in the table header
- Check or uncheck fields
- Click Apply
Your configuration will persist until you change it again.
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| ID | Unique identifier for each work order |
| WO # | Pre-populated but can be changed manually, see WO Numbering for more info |
| Reference # | Optional internal reference fields for tracking purposes |
| Status | The work order's current status (e.g., Open, Closed) |
| Due Date | Date the work order is due to be completed |
| WO Type | Categorizes service work for easier filtering and reporting (e.g., Quoted Deficiency Repair, Emergency) |
| Building | Building associated with the work order |
| Visits | The visit information, including schedule date and status, tied to the work order |
| Work Performed | The work a technician indicated they performed during the visit; this also prints on the service report |
| Actions | Ellipses (⋯) menu with Edit and Delete options. Delete depends on a Service Settings permission, so this option may not appear for all users |
✏️ Bulk Update Work Order Status
You can update the status of multiple work orders at once directly from this screen.
How to Bulk Update:
- Use the checkboxes on the left to select work orders
- Click Update Status above the table
- Select the status you'd like to switch the checked work orders to
- Click Update to apply changes
📮 Publish to Customer Portal
Once a work order is closed, you can publish it to the Customer Portal so your customers can view it directly. From the Work Orders Listing screen, you can publish in-bulk.
How to Publish:
- Use the checkboxes on the left to select one or more closed work order(s)
- Click Publish to Customer Portal above the table
- A confirmation message will appear, click OK to publish selected reports to the Customer Portal

📤 Export Work Orders
You can export your work order list at any time.
How to Export:
- Apply any desired filters to the Work Orders Listing Screen
- The exported file will include only the work orders within your current filters
- Click Export CSV
- A confirmation message will appear at the bottom-right of your screen indicating the request has be received and an email containing a link to the data file will be sent once processed.
