Overview
Once an inspection report has been generated, you can send it directly to your customer from the backend.
Reports can be sent from anywhere they are accessible, including:
- Inspection Reports tab
- Inspection Detail screen
- Building-Level Reports tab
🔗 How to Generate an Inspection Report
📤 Send the Report
- Locate the report you want to send
- Click the ellipses (…) next to the report
- Select Send to Contacts
This will open your computer's default email client with a pre-filled message.
✉️ Email Details
When the email opens, you'll see:
- To: The Report Contact's email address
- From: Your email address
- Subject: The Inspection Report for [Building Name] is Ready
- Email Body (default):
Hello, Your report for [Building Name] is ready. You can download it here: [Report Link] If you are not the appropriate recipient of this report, please forward it to the proper person, or email us with the correct name and email address so we can update our records.
Note: This email template can be customized under Backend Settings Inspections Report Settings.
✅ Review & Send
Before sending:
- Review the email content
- Make any necessary edits
- Send the email to your customer

After the report has been reviewed and sent, it's recommended to update the inspection status to reflect that the workflow is complete.
