Building Notes are notes added in the backend by the backend users. These notes do not appear on the inspection report and are seen on the iPad via the notepad icon. Backend users are the only users who are able to add these notes. They are visible on the iPad to the technicians but cannot be edited or added to by the technicians - unless enabled in the Admin area by a member of the Inspect Point team.
Technician notes are notes added in the field by the technician via the chat bubble icon on the iPad. These notes do not appear on the inspection report and can be shared between technicians. Backend users can also send notes to the technician via the Technician Notes tab in the backend. All technician notes are date and time-stamped.
Internal notes are added in the field and are often associated with questions and deficiencies. These notes do not appear on the inspection report. These notes can be view via the Inspection Notes tab on the Building Detail screen.
Inspection notes are added during an inspection and are often associated with questions and deficiencies. These notes appear on the final inspection report.
Questions with Photos and Notes are added via the camera icon. These are not associated with specific questions, but with the inspection in general. They appear on the report by default but can be marked Internal Only.
