Inspect Point Assistant is a conversational AI built directly into Inspect Point that allows you to ask questions, find records, and take action using plain English.
Instead of navigating through multiple screens, filters, or reports, you can interact with Inspect Point Assistant through a chat interface to retrieve information, locate records, and perform supported actions.
Whatever you need, just ask:
- "Which buildings have overdue extinguisher inspections?"
- "Create a new contact for ABC account. Bob Jones, bobjones@abcaccounts.com, 1-800-123-4567."

With Inspect Point Assistant, you can:
- Ask operational questions and get answers instantly: Get real-time insights into inspections, deficiencies, invoices, and more without waiting on reports.
- Run mass operations across dozens or hundreds of records at once: Create inspection series, bulk-update deficiency notes, and assign technicians all from a single request.
- Search for records using any information you have: Find buildings, contacts, inspections, or devices using a phone number, partial address, serial number, or PO number.
- Create, edit, and update records directly from chat: Make changes without navigating to multiple tabs all with a full confirmation preview before anything is applied.
- Export data in seconds: Download results from any query to CSV for reporting or sharing.
- Undo actions if needed: Reverse any write operation within a 30-minute window.
- Access both the Office Assistant and Data Assistant: Bundled together, no per-agent selection required
🧠 How It Works
Inspect Point Assistant automatically routes your request to the right tool, you don't need to choose between assistants or learn any commands.
It includes two built-in assistants:

Data Assistant: Answers questions
- Handles reporting, analytics, counts, trends, and exports. Providing self-service answers to operational questions that previously required a manual report or engineering request.

Office Assistant: Takes action
- Handles searching, creating, updating, assigning, scheduling, and bulk operations across multiple records.
You simply type your request, and Inspect Point Assistant determines how to handle it.

🔒 Built-In Safeguards
Inspect Point Assistant includes several safeguards to help ensure changes are reviewed before they are applied:
- Confirmation preview before any change - Review exactly what will happen before anything is updated.
- Nothing executes until you confirm - No changes are made unless you explicitly approve them.
- 30-minute undo window - Reverse any change if something doesn't look right.
- Audit trail logging - Every action is recorded automatically.
- Admin controls - Admins can restrict write actions or disable the assistant entirely at any time.
🏁 Getting Started
The best way to get familiar is to try a few common requests:
- Search for a record - "Find the building that has the extinguisher with serial number xyz123"
- Ask a question - "Which buildings have overdue sprinkler inspections?"
- Run a bulk action - "Show me buildings with inspection series expiring in March" → "Extend each series by 5 years."

- Inspect Point Assistant is priced per user across your entire account (office and field users).
