Before Proposals can be published to the Customer Portal, the Customer Portal must be enabled in your backend settings. Once enabled, proposals can be published automatically during creation or manually (individually or in bulk).
This article walks through how to manually publish Proposals to the Customer Portal.
Proposals can be published:
- During Proposal creation
- The Proposal Edit screen
- The Proposals tab
- A Building’s Proposals tab
⚠️ Important:
- If the Customer Portal is not enabled, you will not see any publishing options — 🔗 How to Enable the Customer Portal
- If the Automatic Publish settings are enabled, you will not see any publishing options for that particular document type — 🔗 Overview: Publishing to the Customer Portal
- Only proposals that have been sent will appear in the Customer Portal once published, proposals in the Draft status do not.
📝 Publish During Proposal Creation
When the Customer Portal is enabled, a Publish to Customer Portal checkbox appears during proposal creation.
- The checkbox will be pre-checked by default.
- If you do not want the proposal published, simply uncheck it.
- If you want it published, leave the option checked and complete the proposal as usual.
Once the proposal is saved and sent, it will automatically publish to the Customer Portal.
🔁 How to Publish an Existing Proposal (Individual)
If a proposal wasn’t published during creation, you can publish it afterward.
- Open the Proposal to edit it
- From the Proposals tab: click the ellipsis (⋯) next to the proposal and select Edit, or
- From the Proposal Details screen: click the proposal number, then select Edit in the upper-right corner.
- On the first page of the proposal, check Publish to Customer Portal.
- Click Save.
The proposal will publish to the Customer Portal once it has been saved and sent.
📦 Bulk Publish Proposals
You can publish multiple proposals at once from a Building’s Proposals tab or the Proposals tab on the Navigation menu.
- Navigate to the Proposals tab.
- Apply any filters you’d like (Status, Building, Date, etc.).
- Select the proposals using the checkboxes to the left of each proposal number.
- Above the table, click Publish to Customer Portal.
- Confirm the action.
All selected proposals will publish to the Customer Portal.
