Once your company signs on with Inspect Point, our team sets up your instance so you can get started quickly. Here’s what to expect during activation and your first login.
Step 1: Instance Creation
Based on the information provided to Inspect Point pre and post sale, we will:
- Create your company’s instance, or backend, of Inspect Point which has a custom subdomain which you will use to access the backend later on.
- Configure the instance based on your subscription, tier, inspection types, etc..
- Preload the inspection types and questions that match your services (e.g., sprinklers, alarms, extinguishers)
Step 2: First Admin Invitation
The first backend admin user will receive an email invitation. The email includes a secure link to create a password. Once the password is created, the admin gains access to the backend.
Step 3: Logging into the Backend
Once you've created your backend password, you can now login to the backend. To do so:
- Go to the login page (link in your invitation email) - yoursubdomain.inspectpoint.com
- Enter your email address and new password
- You are now logged into the backend of Inspect Point
Step 4: Initial Setup (Admin Tasks)
After logging in, the backend admin can begin configuring your instance. The first steps usually include:
- Inviting additional backend users
- Setting up technicians
- Configuring basic company settings (logo, company address, etc.)
- Customer Setup
