Inspect Point’s Form Management Setting allows your team to easily search, preview, and import official jurisdictional forms—such as backflow test reports—directly into your instance. Located within your Settings, this new functionality is designed to streamline your setup processes for quick access.
Backflow Forms vs. External Forms in Inspect Point
Backflow forms are official documents used to report the testing and maintenance of backflow prevention devices. Some cities, states, or jurisdictions require a specific version of this form. If that version is available in our library, it can be applied to your instance of the generic backflow report.
External forms are jurisdictional forms that are not related to backflow testing. These include reports or certificates required by local AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction).
Examples of external forms include:
- California Title 19 AES forms
- Above-Ground Piping certification forms
- NFPA 72 Record of Completion
Accessing the Form Library
Go to Settings > Form Management
-
There you will see two options:
Manage External Forms
Manage Backflow Forms Clicking into either section will show you the existing imported forms currently available within your instance
External Form Management
When you click Manage External Forms, you’ll see a list of any forms that have already been imported into your account (if applicable). You can import a new form, or edit the existing ones.

FAQ:
I don't see the form I need, what do I do?
If the form you're looking for isn’t listed, don’t worry! When adding either an External Form or Backflow Form, you’ll see a blurb that says: Can't find what you are looking for? Contact your CSM for guidance.
Contact your CSM, and in the email body, attach a sample PDF of the form. Our team will review your request and follow up as needed.
Who can import these forms?
Only backend users with Admin or Super User roles can import forms.
Note: If your account has the "Limit configuration to Admin role" setting enabled, then only Admin users will be able to import forms—Super Users will not have access.
