How to Access Your Proposal
Tap Review and Complete.
Then, tap Proposal Summary.
You will now see the Proposal Summary screen.
There are three tabs on this screen: Fee Summary, in which you can add materials, proposed corrections, line items and summary items; Proposal Details, in which you can customize your proposal summary, scope of work, exclusions and terms & conditions; and Proposal, which displays the proposal on the screen.
Fee Summary Tab
If you have not added proposed corrections during the inspection, this screen will display a $0 proposal summary. You have the option of either adding proposed corrections while doing the inspection, or within the proposal itself.
On this screen, by tapping the + next to each section, you can add:
- Materials (only available if Service Module is enabled)
- Proposed Corrections
- Line Items
- Summary Items
Adding a Material
Press the + to add a material. This will open a new screen in which you can view materials that have been added in the back-end.
You can tap "Type" at the top of the screen to filter your list, or search for a material.
When you have found your desired material, adjust the quantity if needed, then tap the row.
A blue check mark will appear, indicating the material has been added.
Repeat as needed. Then, press "Done" to return to your proposal.
Adding a Proposed Correction
On the mobile app, you can select from the list of proposed corrections that have been set-up in the back-end. Press the + to be taken to this list.
Then, press "Add" to add a new correction, or "Edit" to edit an existing one.
These actions will open the Correction Detail box. Here, you can see the correction description and type. You can edit the quantity, indicate if the work was completed onsite (which will move the correction OFF of the proposal, and onto a work order), select a related system, add a price factor (for example, a discount or mark-up) and add any internal notes.
Then, press "save" to add the correction to your proposal, or "cancel" to cancel. Then, press back to return to your proposal.
Upon saving, you will see the correction added to the "Proposed Corrections" section of your proposal.
You can tap the correction to edit it, or press and swipe left to remove it.
Adding a Line Item
Tap the + symbol to open a pop-up box in which you an enter a line item. Enter a description and/or the item name in the text field and set the quantity and price. If the line item was completed onsite, tap the toggle next to "Completed Onsite," which will add it to the associated work order instead of to the proposal.
Once done, tap Save.
Repeat this process until all line items have been added.
Adding a Summary Item
To add a Summary Line Item, tap the + symbol.
A pop-up box will appear. Enter the summary of the proposed item/work, add a price in the Price field, and tap Save when done.
You will be automatically directed back to the Proposal Summary screen where you will see the Summary Line Item applied and the total adjusted.
Adding Sales Tax
Finally, to add Sales Tax, enter a number in the Sales Tax field at the bottom of the screen. This will automatically update your total with the correct amount.
Proposal Details Tab
You have the option to select a proposal summary, scope of work, exclusions and terms & conditions to add to the proposal. Each of these appear as text sections on your proposal.
Default text for these sections can be added via the back-end, on the "Settings" page, in the "Proposals" category. In addition, a back-end user can check off any summary, scope of work, exclusions or terms & conditions as "default for technicians" – which makes that item appear by default on a proposal generated via the mobile app.
To add a summary, scope of work, exclusions and terms & conditions to the proposal, tap the + symbol and then tap the item you wish to add.
Once an item is added, you can swipe left to delete it.
Proposal Tab
Once you are done creating your proposal, press "Save" to save it. Any time you make a change, you will need to press "Update" to update it.
If you are online, you can then press the Proposal tab to view the proposal. Here, you have several options:
- You can press the iOS share icon in the upper-right hand corner to share it
- You can press the "Download" button to download it as a PDF to your device
- You can press "Accept" to have your customer accept the proposal
