In the backend of Inspect Point, you have the ability to create Work Orders three ways:
- From the Work Orders tab (what is outlined below)
- From the Inspection Detail screen (by clicking Create New Work Order)
- Convert from a Proposal (by clicking Convert to Proposal on the Detail screen)
In the example below, we will be creating a work order from the Work Order tab
From the Dashboard, click the Work Orders tab on the left sidebar
Click + New Work Order in the upper right corner of the screen
Select the Building you would like to create the Work Order for by clicking the Building Name
In the first step, begin adding the details for the Work Order
If you know the date, time, and technician for the work order, set the details in the Schedule Visits section below Details
Click Next when done with Step 1
In Step 2, associate the work order with any of the items on the building, if applicable
When done, or if not applicable, click Next
In Step 3, add any materials (and quantities) to the work order (not required).
When done, or if not applicable, click Next
In Step 4, add and associate any open deficiencies with the work order (not required)
When done, click Create Now
If the work order was assigned a date, time, and technician during the setup process, the technician will be able to pull-to-refresh, and see the work order on their iPad
If the work order needs to still be assigned and scheduled, it can be done via the Scheduler tab on the left sidebar
