Below are the following proposal statuses inside Inspect Point and how they each work:
- Draft - Automatically applied if a proposal has been created, but has not been sent.
- Out for Quote - Automatically applied if a proposal has been created and has been sent
- Viewed - Automatically applied if your end user has clicked the proposal link sent in the email. A record of every time a proposal has been viewed is recorded on the Proposal History screen.
- Accepted - Automatically applied if your end user has clicked the Accept button on the proposal and has added their name. Please note: in order for a proposal to be accepted, the name of the person accepted must be added. A record of the acceptance and name are recorded on the Proposal History screen.
- Declined -Automatically applied if your end user has clicked the Decline button on the proposal and has added their name and given a reason. Please note: in order for a proposal to be declined, the name of person declined and a reason, must be added. A record of the proposal being declined, along with the name and reason, are recorded on the Proposal History screen.
Statuses can also be manually updated, if needed. Here are instructions on how to manually update a proposal status and add a note pertaining to the manual status adjustment:
Click the ID number for the Proposal
Click Edit Proposal in the upper right corner of the screen
Select Accepted in the "What is the proposal's status" dropdown
Scroll to the bottom of Step 1 and click Save and Close
Next scroll to the Timeline area and click Add Note
Add in the Add Note pop-up a note pertaining to the status adjustment
Click Add Note when done
