How to save the attachment sent via email:
On the iPad - open your email client
Open the email with the attachment you need to use
Open the attachment and save the attachment to your iPad
>>> Tap the icon indicated below to save the attachment
Tap 'Save to Files'
Select the Folder you'd like the file to live in
Then tap 'Save'
How to save the attachment if sent as a Building attachment:
Open the Inspect Point app
Locate the building you will be performing the inspection on
Scroll to the ATTACHMENTS area on the Details screen
Tap the attachment
>>> The attachment will now open in your default internet browser
Tap the download icon as indicated in the screenshot
Tap 'Save to Files'
Select the folder where the PDF should save (in this example we are saving to Downloads) then tap 'Save'
How to fill in the PDF in the field:
Tap the home screen button on the iPad
Pull down so the Search bar appears and search for "Files"
Tap the Files icon then tap the folder where the PDF was saved
>>> In this example we saved to the Downloads folder
Tap the PDF
>>> It will now open in the default Apple PDF reader
Complete the PDF as needed then go to the Inspect Point app
>>> depending upon the PDF reader you are using, you may see a save option for the PDF. Tap that before going to the Inspect Point app
How to add an attachment to an Inspection:
From the Inspection screen on the iPad, tap the paperclip icon (to the right of Deficiencies)
Tap the "+" icon to select a PDF from your iPad Files
Locate and tap the file
>>> Please note: Inspect Point will notify you when the attachment PDF has been successfully uploaded
>>> Repeat the process outlined above to add additional attachments to the inspection
The pop-up box will also show an attachment next to the file automatically. This indicates that the PDF will generate automatically when the complete report is generated
>>> To just send back the attachment, and not have it generate with the report, tap the file icon to remove it from the pop-up, then tap "Close"
Step-by-Step Instructions - Adding the Attachment to an Inspection
Once the inspection is completed and sent back to the office you will see it in the waiting review status in the backend
Scroll down until you see "Inspection Attachments" to see if the Attachment is set to generate on the report or not
>>>By default the checkbox will be blue
To add an attachment to the generated report, click the "Show on Report" checkbox
Scroll back to the top of the screen, and click "Generate Full Report"
>>> Now you can generate the report and the attachment will be included!
