What is a custom inspection?
A custom inspection is an inspection created inside of your instance, by a member of your organization, to supplement an additional inspection needed for a building, region, state, etc. that is not already built inside of Inspect Point.
How are custom inspections created?
From the dropdown menu in the upper-right of any page within your backend, select the Custom Inspections option
You will be directed to the Custom Inspections Listing Screen (more on this below)
Select the + New Inspection option, where you will give the inspection a name, check the Available in field box, and Save
>> You will be redirected back to the Custom Inspections Listing page
You'll then want to add Sections for the inspection questions to be grouped into, if applicable (ie Maintenance, Testing, etc.), by selecting Sections > + New Section, where you will give the name and sort order > Save
To add questions to the custom inspection select Edit Questions > Add Custom Question
Add the question text, type and section and repeat until you've added all necessary questions - Save
Where are custom inspections located?
Custom inspections can be found on the Custom Inspection Listed Screen, which is located in the upper-right dropdown menu that appears on any page within your backend.
This screen is where you begin when you are looking to build a new custom inspection. This is also where you view and/or edit already created custom inspections inside of your instance.
How does a custom inspection get to the iPad?
Once a custom inspection has been created in the backend, said inspection has to setup and scheduled just like any other type within Inspect Point.
When going through the process, you will see a Custom Inspection section with the option to Add Custom Inspection to this Visit.
Furthermore, custom inspections can be added to an inspection in the field as well, so long as they're already created in the backend.
