***NOTE: The information below outlines how to create a proposal on the iPad. To learn how to create a proposal in the backend, click here***
Once done with your inspection, tap Review and Complete
Above the signature area, tap Proposal Summary
You will now see the Proposal Summary screen. If you have not added proposed corrections during the inspection, this screen will display a $0 proposal summary (as seen below)
Tap the + symbol in the upper right corner
>>> You will now see your proposal options
- Corrections
- Line Items
- Sales Tax
1) To add a Proposed Correction (these must be set up in the backend), tap Corrections
>>> You will now see all the proposed corrections that have been set up in the backend
To add a Correction, tap the item. A blue checkmark will appear at the far right of the correction letting you know it's been added. Indicate the quantity, and if work was completed onsite, tap the toggle next to "Work Completed Onsite" to indicate work has already been completed. The toggle will turn green once tapped.
Once done adding Corrections, tap the back arrow in the upper left corner
>>>You will now see the Proposal Summary screen with the Corrections added
2) To add line items to the proposal, tap the + symbol in the upper right and select Line Item
>>> A pop-up box will appear
Enter a description or the item name in the text field and set the quantity and price. If the line item was completed onsite, tap the toggle next to "Completed Onsite" (if green, it was completed onsite)
Once done, tap Save
Repeat this process until all line items have been added
***TIP: Line items can have a negative value and are a great way to apply discounts. To do this, explain the discount in the text field, set the quantity to 1, and set the discount accordingly (i.e -5.00). Tap Save and see the discount applied on the Proposal Summary screen.
When done adding line items, tap the back arrow in the upper left of the screen
>>> You will now see the Proposal Summary screen, with the line item(s) added and applied to the total
3) To add Sales Tax, tap the + symbol in the upper right of the screen
>>> A pop-up box will appear
Enter sales tax total in the box and tap Save when done
>>> You will be automatically directed back to the Proposal Summary screen where you will see the Sales Tax applied and the total adjusted
If applicable, tap Client Signature to have your customer sign and type their acceptance of the proposal
***NOTE: The Client Signature box is configurable. If you'd like your customer to electrically sign an agreement you currently use, please contact support@inspectpoint.com to set up***
When done, tap the back arrow in the upper left of the screen, and send the inspection back to the office as usual. The proposal will automatically send with the inspection.
